A Continuous Improvement Engineer plays a crucial part in enhancing organizational efficiency and productivity by implementing and managing continuous improvement initiatives.
This professional is responsible for analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to optimize workflow. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, reduce waste, and increase overall quality.
Utilizing methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement Engineers facilitate the implementation of best practices and drive a culture of continuous learning within the organization. Their focus on data analysis, problem-solving, and project management ensures the successful execution of improvement projects, ultimately contributing to the company’s overall success and competitiveness in the market.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive effective leadership development within Anel Corporation through teaching the HPS guiding principles. Implement HPS throughout Anel with classroom training sessions and facilitating targeted HPS Rapid Improvement Workshop (RIW) events that put into action the guiding principles of HPS.
- Project manage high level projects as determined by the leadership team and use such projects as coaching tools for project members.
- Take ownership of the Plants RIW schedules and drive completion of event follow-up list.
- Be an ambassador of the “Hol-Mac Way” by following the values stated in “DO IT RIGHT”.
- Participate in plant staff meetings as an advisor on the CI initiatives and upcoming deadlines for CI activities.
- Perform all other duties assigned to this job by the V.P. of Continuous Improvement & Leadership Development. This includes but is not limited to the below job duties:
- Complete the HBT Program (Hol-Mac Basic Training)
- Abide by the Hol-Mac Corporation Environmental Health and Safety Handbook
- Coordinate & Implement Hol-Mac Corporation’s Continuous Improvement efforts
Qualifications:
Must have excellent presentation skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Business with a background in Quality.
Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
Must be PC and Windows literate; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Must be a self-motivated leader with excellent communications skills both written and verbal, and the ability to make decisions.
Must be able to multitask.
